Yes, the excitement continues each morning as I anticipate opening another one of the gift packages that came in the mail. The basket that held the small gifts from the swap are dwindling down, but the fun continues for now.
This morning's wonderful little gift was created by Liane. I just love this mini clip board ornament. This clip board is just to cute and after Christmas this little gem will hang off my bulletin board in my craft room. Thank you Liane!!!
Today is the day that the ladies in group 3 open my gift, as I was assigned day 8. I wasn't sure what I wanted to make to send out to the swappers in my group. I wanted something that wasn't too heavy and would be easy to mail.
I actually made a few things and then in the end I decided on something totally different. I just couldn't make up my mind what I wanted to make. Below are all the card stock machine stitched envelopes I made to put my little gifts in. I tucked 2 small gifts in each of the pouches. I didn't have enough of one style card stock and so I ended up using 3 different patterns. I got 2 pockets from one piece of card stock.
I hope the ladies in my group like my offering of the bookmark and ornament. This has been such a fun swap and I will hate to see the swap come to an end on Christmas Eve morning.
What will I find in my day 9 packaging? You will have to come back tomorrow to take a peek.

Today is the 6th day of our 12 day swap in our yahoo group, An Affair with Art. Julie W. was assigned day 6 in our group. What a fun package to arrive in the mail. As you can see from the top photo, Julie recycled a cardboard container and covered it with card stock to use for mailing out her swap gift. Julie also challenged us all in group 3 to recycle the container again. After we recycle the container we will add a photo for everyone in the group to see what we came up with.
I was curious to what was inside, and imagine my surprise when I opened the tissue wrapped gift inside. The photo doesn't do this lovely piece justice because of the shadows. The note attached to the wrapping read..hang on a necklace. Pearl, crystal, tiny off white beads in a glass container, and then a larger glass vial with red and white seed beads. I LOVE IT!!!! Thanks so much Julie, for a fun revealing this morning. Very pretty, don't you think?
Once again this morning I had a pretty little package to look forward to opening as I sat and had a cup of coffee. Today's gift was created by Teresa.
p.s..I am feeling somewhat better. The doctor put me on antibiotics and also gave me an inhaler due to my wheezing. Hopefully by Monday I will be well enough to go out and finish my last couple of errands. Then it will be time to wrap, wrap, wrap.

Inside the Santa box was this cute, small, tree cookie cutter with holiday card stock applied to the back made by Sherri A. I probably should have taken the photo on a plain white background, but I liked the sparkly tissue paper that the ornament came wrapped in. There is a white snowflake as the tree topper, and Joy to the World ribbon to hang this lovely ornament from.
I am like a little girl again, eagerly awaiting each morning to open another gift.
I have to ask...did you try an peek at the gifts with your name on the tag? Or snoop around the house looking where gifts were hidden? I must admit, I was very bad. I snooped, and sometimes well, let me correct myself if I want to be honest...a LOT of the time especially when I was in high school I would not only snoop I would even unwrap gifts, and rewrap them carefully hoping my mother wouldn't notice. :-) It's a wonder I didn't get coal in my stocking.
Later this morning I am off to the doctors. Hoping that I feel better soon. This coughing steadily isn't much fun.
Today's, day 3 gift was from Regina. Regina created her ornament using a spool of ribbon as the base for her festive ornament. Very creative, don't you think? Thanks Regina for the lovely ornament.
I don't feel so good today. In fact, I called the doctor's office, but can't be seen until tomorrow morning. I can't stop coughing. Not the most convenient time of year to be sick.
We had plans to go to our granddaughter, Katie's senior Christmas choral program at Bridgewater Raynham High School tonight, but I had to call and cancel. I am disappointed that we won't be able to make it. I am off to lie down as I feel week and worn out from coughing.
