Polished stone papers

This afternoon I took out my box of Adirondack and Memories permanent inks and my Adirondack metallic inks in gold and silver, Adirondack Blending solution. You can also use rubbing alcohol in a fine mist bottle in place of the blending solution, glossy 4 x 6 cardstock, felt squares, my homemade felt dabber to apply the inks and latex gloves so I wouldn't end up with rainbow colored fingers. My mission of the day was to make polished stone papers.
I hadn't created any of these colorful papers in a very long time, but I always have fun making polished stone background papers.
This is the end result of today's art project. Click on the photos for a bigger and better view of the papers. My favorites are the mauve/pink with silver and the blues & turquoise with  silver.

Polished stone technique has been around for a very long time. Have you tried making any lately? The end result is always different on each piece, and makes gorgeous backgrounds to use for your art projects.
