Bird watching through my kitchen door window

                                 white breasted nuthatch

                                tufted titmouse
( I love these little guys)

I've been watching the birds off and on all morning from inside my warm kitchen. I'm surprised the photos have come out as well as they have because they are shot through the glass in the inside kitchen door and the storm door window.

I really like this red platform feeder that I bought for $10.00 at Benny's before Christmas and the birds are loving it too.

I took this photo late yesterday afternoon and the sun was no longer out. To make the photo harder to take..this red bellied woodpecker was at the tippity top of the mountain ash tree in the front yard.

The yard is full of birds coming and going to all of my feeders that I have in the yard to eat since the snowstorm.
Cardinals, doves, blue jays, brown creeper, goldfinches, fox sparrow, song sparrow, house sparrow, house finches, chickadees, winter wren, starlings, junco's, hairy and downey woodpeckers, the red bellied woodpecker, flicker, and robins.

this is my favorite bird guide book

It was 14 degrees out at 8 a.m. and it is 38 right now.

I can't imagine how hard this weather is on the birds.
