In June, I came home to find a flock of 5 pink, plastic, flamingo's on my front lawn (read about it on my blog post from June 20th, Laugh for the Day). The flamingo's were used for a fund raiser for a Relay for Life cancer event.
The flamingo's were on my lawn until last Thursday, when the birds were picked up and headed to their new destination in Carver.
For a $5 donation you can have the flock removed, for a $10 donation you could send a flock of 5 to someone else's yard, and for a $20 donation you could have a big flock of 20 sent to someone else's front yard. I sent a flock of 2o and they arrived last Friday. I rode by this morning and took a picture. Where the flock ends up next, I don't know, but I do know that they were much enjoyed at their new home over the weekend.
I still don't know who Flocked me, but I am glad they did, as it is for a good cause, and we got a lot of laughs from the flamingos.
Today was another beautiful day, in the 80's but not humid. I was taken to the Olive Garden for a birthday luncheon by my son Steven, Robin and Bella. Steven has Monday's off and so we celebrated my birthday a day early.
