Beading a few Christmas gifts

Today was such a gorgeous day as it was sunny and warm. After I picked some tomatoes, summer squash and cucumbers from the garden, I decided I would sit on the back deck and start beading some Christmas gifts. I did pick up a few Christmas gifts the other day while I was out..couldn't pass up good bargains. That got me to thinking...don't wait till the last minute and have to rush. Make a few items each week.

Anyway...my granddaughter Katie (18) and Lily (10) like the peace sign. I found turquoise beads and decided to use silver findings on their earrings. I used round, spacer beads that were a little bigger for Katie's earrings and smaller round spacer beads on Lily's.

Then for friends...I made black multicolor dichoric earrings that really don't show how pretty the beads are in the photo.

spacer beads on top is blue/clear

bottom round spacer blue/amber

If you bead..do you prefer silver or gold findings? I prefer silver.elaine signature3

Very nice earrings. I will have to start revving up my gift making, too.

Hi Elaine, very cute ear-rings, especially the peace signs! Silver is the metal of choice these days, I think.
