My 2011- Day 2 - 12 Days of Christmas Tim tag

-2011 Day 2 Tim tag better
I worked on my day 2 Tim Holtz tag this afternoon, and like I wrote in my earlier post...I still can't find my box of Tim stuff. I have been moving stuff around in my craft room and now I can't find anything. So, once again, my tag hardly looks like the tag Tim created on his blog, but he mentioned to use what we have, and that is what I had to do.
I don't have any distress wash sprays so I put some Adirondack pigment reinker light..snow cap onto a piece of paper towel and swiped that across my cardstock, and then quickly wiped it away so only a light white wash stayed. I then spritzed a glitterey spray on the tag. I don't own a border die, and so I cut a piece of manila tag for the bottom and with a gold pen colored the piece that I glued to the bottom. I rubber stamped in red Season's Greetings. I don't own the reindeer die, and so for my tag I used a bird on holly that was cut from a 12 x 12 sheet of Christmas scrap paper. I DID have and knew where my burlap was, amazing, huh? But, the burlap kept shredding. Not good.
I recently bought the metal Tim Holtz Christmas embellishments with a 50% coupon at Michael's and I used that instead of the holiday piece that Tim did.  When I find my stuff I will go back and work on my tag a bit, but for now...this is my Day 2 tag.
I hope that Tim uses things that I have for tomorrow's (day 3) tag.

You can follow along daily with Tim to see what his tags look like...Tim Holtz's blog

Oh, have you tried Aleene's Turbo Tacky Glue? I am not impressed. I think it's runny, and takes forever to dry. I bought a container, because it stated that it was stronger and faster drying..I don't think so. :-(

Your tags are lovely. It's good to make them your own, but sometimes it's harder to find things to substitute with. Hope you find your Tim box soon.

This is a beautiful tag. I love that you're using what's on hand. I'm planning on working on some tags today.
