I left last Thursday for a few days of much needed R & R on Cape Cod. I changed my blog header photo with my writing in the sand message.
My mom came home from the nursing home last Tuesday, and she now has round the clock caretakers at home. I needed to take some time off and I headed down to the Cape to stay with my cousins. The weather was absolutely beautiful and the ocean water was warm. We went for rides thru the Cape towns mostly on Route 6 A, as I just love meandering down that road. So much to see. I love the old Cape Cod homes with the picket fences with roses or beautiful flowers in the yards and American flags flying. We ate out and the lobster roll that we had at Arnold's was absolutely delicious.
I loved walking barefooted in the sand at the many beaches with the waves lightly lapping at my ankles while I look for jingles. Do you like jingles? I love the little, thin orange/yellow/silver colored shells, and they make a tinkling noise when the waves push them to shore and they hit other shells.
Over the next few days I will share some of the projects that I finally had time to create while I was away. I did some beading and created 2 photo journals. I plan on using some of the photos that I took last week in my beach themed journal.
I finally put together a bracelet using the polished stone bone beads that I worked on sometime back. I took photos of Cape Cod Lighthouses and windmills, people digging for clams at low tide. So, stay tuned as I have more photos to share with you.
