We had plans in place for almost a month for a family get together. The weather turned out to be very windy and cold. The weathermen were predicting a nor'easter. Thankfully we were back at my niece, Julie's having something to eat when it started to rain. It was raining hard and the wind was wiping lots of pine needles and leaves off the trees.
My sister in laws, my daughter in law, several of my nieces and their children, and Bella all went to Shauchuk Farm yesterday, in Plympton.
Even though it was cold we all had a wonderful time. There is a large corn maze, hay ride and cow train that it just too cute, and a big spiders web. There was a huge jumpy area and an area under a tent filled with corn kernels for the kids to play in.

Bella sitting on a hay bale in front of the corn kernel pit
Cody and Kyle making corn angels in the kernels. I bet the deer love this spot at night when no one is around

muddy ruts in the pumpkin field. Thank goodness the big John Deere tractor was able to pull the hay ride thru the mud.
just a small portion of pumpkins waiting to be picked
Back to Julie's house for lunch and goodies
The twins, Holly and Trish making apples
the finished decorated caramel apples that the kids made
my sister in law Jane made these cookies. Ugly to look at, but they tasted very good.
In spite of the not so wonderful weather everyone had a fun time.
Sunday morning...10.3o.2011...after a night of high winds and heavy rain early in the morning the rain changed to snow. Snow before Halloween...crazy!!!
Thankfully here in southeastern Massachusetts we got mostly rain. The snow was heavy and lots of limbs came down, because leaves are still on the trees. We only got an inch where other parts of the state got several inches. Later this morning the sun came out and most of the snow has melted.
taken from inside the house..front yard
back deck railing cars with snow on them.
I will be heading to Maine for a few days, so I hope the snow they got up there will be gone. I better bring warm clothes. Tom will be home because he has to work.
Steven, Robin and Bella stopped by this afternoon so Bella could Trick or Treat while I was home. What a job trying to get a photo of her in her costume, as she was running nonstop. I finally did manage to snap a few pictures that weren't all blurry.

Cutest bumble bee I've ever seen. I also love the photos on the cow train. I was in DC for the snow and it was surprising.
