Sun ATC

atc envirotexed balsa wood sun
I  rubber stamped the sun image onto  a rainbow sticker paper. Not your typical yellow sun, but I stamped the image onto a scrap piece of sticker paper, and it happened to be blue.
Below on the right is the sticker paper..isn't it pretty?
woodgrain and rainbow paper
I found one more sheet of that sticker paper and a sheet of wood grain cardstock that I've had tucked away in the bottom drawer of my desk. I didn't realize I still had any of it. Maybe I should go thru more of those old folders. I wish I had more of those 2 papers. I use to get all kinds of different papers from the now out of business  C T & Nee rubber stamp store. Their stamp store had been in nearby Raynham and when the store was open, I use to teach classes there.
The stamped sticker was then placed on a piece of balsa wood. Using an exacto knife, I cut around the sun image. Then, the piece was lightly sanded around the sun's rays.  I added a layer of envirotex for a glossy finish.

I like this a lot. And now, "Here Comes The Sun" is running through my head.
